General James Gavin
General James Maurice Gavin
General Gavin was born on March 22, 1907. Nicknamed Jumpin' Jim, Gavin liked to parachute into combat zones with his paratroopers. This was during his time in command positions with the 82nd Airborne Division in World War II. He died February 23, 1990.
